In this summer series, SOS will take all that we learned about personality traits and apply it to helping our kids of all ages to self-advocate through expected behaviors. In this series, we will use look at challenging behaviors alongside the ways that our traits and the traits of our kids factor into situations. By using what we know about ourselves and underlying truths about challenging behaviors, we will add investigation and curiosity to see if we can improve those hard circumstances.
Session 1: We are going to look at ways to encourage desired behaviors and discourage unexpected behaviors through setting reasonable and precise expectations.
The group is facilitated by Laura Beth DeHority, LMFT, parent to special needs young adults, and former corporate communicator.
