After touring the model we walk south to Sausalito for a bite and then walk back.\nWhat: The Bay Model is the world’s largest working model of San Francisco Bay. The fully-accessible education center administered by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Session 2: 2.30-4pm \nAugust 9th \nWhere: \nAnT Swim School \n520 West Virginia Street \nSan Jose\, CA 95125 \n(Just off Hwy 280 and Bird\, near Willow Glen) \nThis address is the Gardner Community Center\, the pool is actually down the block toward Delmas\, just past the park playground. \nStreet parking is available. Per City rules\, please do not park in the driveway of the swimschool. \nNo need to bring tickets\, we’ll have your name at the gate – please sign in. \nWhat to bring: \n\nSwimsuits/swimshirts\nSunscreen — applied 30 minutes before getting into pool\nHats\nTowels\nLounge chairs/beach chairs\, if desired (the venue has bench seating)\nPool toys\, if desired. Please note the pool’s insurance carrier prohibits inflatables😞.We will have noodles\, kickboards\, and foam floats\, balls and toys onhand.\nLifejackets for non-swimmers (the facility has youth sizes available to borrow)\nWe will provide some refreshments\, but if you have special diets please consider bringing your own. This family-friendly event offers something for everyone and is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with family and friends while connecting with local resources and organizations. \nFree admission for all! \nA delicious lunch will be available for purchase using event tickets\, and we’ll also have plenty of festival favorites on hand\, including cotton candy\, popcorn\, sno-cones\, and other tasty treats. \nOne of the highlights of the day will be the opportunity to visit our neighbors at Animal Assisted Happiness\, where families can meet an incredible variety of feathered and furry friends in their dedicated animal area. It’s a unique chance to interact with animals and learn more about the important work they do in our community. \nThroughout the day\, families can participate in a scavenger hunt with prizes while exploring the natural beauty of Baylands Park\, enjoy live entertainment featuring our headline band\, JD and The Shout\, along with a variety of inclusive performers\, create memories at our arts and crafts stations\, and test their skills at exciting carnival games with prizes. \nBe sure to visit our Resource Fair\, where organizations and vendors serving our community will be available to share valuable information\, services\, and supports. \nEvery registered guest will receive one complimentary raffle ticket at check-in. Additional raffle and activity tickets may be purchased in advance or at the event. \nTickets are required for food\, games\, activities\, and raffle entries. Ticket bundles are available as follows: \n• 20 tickets for $20\n• 60 tickets for $50\n• 125 tickets for $100 \nLunch is expected to cost approximately 15 tickets. Most games and activities will range from 2–5 tickets\, and raffle entries will require just one ticket each. \nWhether you’re coming for the animals\, music\, games\, food\, community resources\, or simply a day of fun with family and friends\, there’s something for everyone. \nWe can’t wait to welcome you to our 3rd Annual Family Festival! \nCan’t wait to see you for this family festival event!
